Test it on your own phone, on data

Sites get built on fast connections and big monitors, and then get used on a phone with two bars on the GO train. Turn your wi-fi off and load your own site. Count the seconds until something useful appears.

While you are there, try to do the thing a customer would do — find the price, get the address, make the booking — with one thumb. Anything that needs pinching, zooming or a second attempt is costing you money quietly, every day, and nobody will ever email to tell you.
